Firestorm Grid Manager: add http://avix.fun:9000, click Apply and OK

Connect in a few steps

  1. Download and install the OpenSimulator version of Firestorm using the button on this page.
  2. Launch Firestorm. Open Viewer → Preferences (Ctrl+P), then OpenSim → Grid Manager.
  3. In Add new grid, enter this address:
    http://avix.fun:9000
  4. Click Apply. Wait until Avix.fun appears in the list, then click OK.
  5. On the login screen, select Avix.fun, enter your avatar's first and last name and the password you chose during registration, then click Log In.

Before your first login, verify your email address and wait for an administrator to approve your account.

Looking for a Second Life alternative or an online world with the creative freedom you enjoy in The Sims? In AVIX you control your own avatar and meet other people through conversation, creativity and events. Connect with the OpenSim edition of Firestorm; a VPN is not a required setup step.

AVIX GRID / RULES

Our world rules

Welcome to avix.fun! We value you as a resident of our grid and ask you to follow these rules. The administration monitors compliance.

What matters most

Adults only · 18+. Registration and access to Avix grid are restricted to users aged 18 or older.
Respect for one another comes first in Avix grid. Behind every avatar is a real person with feelings and personal boundaries.
No bullying or harassment. Insults, threats and stalking are not acceptable.
No politics. Political discussions, campaigning and political provocations are not allowed.
No promotion of illegal drugs. Advertising, distributing or encouraging the use of illegal drugs is prohibited.
No discrimination. Racism and hatred based on nationality, race, gender, religion, sexual orientation or other personal characteristics are not acceptable.
Respect personal boundaries. Do not force unwanted contact or share another person's personal information or private messages without consent.
Resolve disagreements calmly. If you experience a violation, contact the administration.

Land use rules

  1. One parcel per account

    Only one free parcel per account is permitted, without exceptions. Creating multiple accounts to obtain extra parcels will result in a permanent grid-wide ban.

  2. Skybox altitude

    Skyboxes must be placed at an altitude of 3000–4000 metres, without exceptions. Objects placed below this altitude will be returned to their owners.

  3. Residential use only

    Parcels are for residential use only. Ban lines and blocking access for other grid residents are not permitted.

  4. No deeding land to a group

    Do not use Group Deed to transfer a parcel to a group. Doing so will result in the loss of all parcels deeded to that group.

  5. Glow effects

    Please avoid using glow effects on objects out of consideration for your neighbours.

  6. Start developing within 7 days

    You must start developing your parcel within 7 days of receiving it. If it remains empty, the administration will reclaim it. Each resident may have only one free parcel.

  7. No breedables, resource-heavy scripts or NPCs

    Breedable virtual animals, objects with excessive scripts or high resource usage, and NPCs (non-player characters) are not permitted.

  8. Terraforming

    You may terraform your parcel provided the changes do not disturb your neighbours.

  9. Objects outside parcel boundaries

    Do not place objects outside your parcel or region. All objects must remain entirely within your parcel boundaries.

  10. Parcels owned by residents of other grids

    Any parcels owned by users who are not residents of avix.fun will be reclaimed by the administration immediately.

  11. Particle effects

    Do not leave particle effects running continuously in a region, including effects from balloons, NPCs and other objects.

  12. No beacons

    Beacons are not permitted on free parcels.

  13. Building restrictions

    Tree houses and castles are not permitted. Please use moderately sized residential houses.

  14. Inactive and empty parcels

    If a free parcel remains empty for more than 10 days and development has not started, the administration will reclaim it. Your parcel may also be reclaimed if you have not visited avix.fun for more than 1 month.
